Reflect on how you feel about writing. For example, do you fear writing? Does the thought of writing cause you anxiety? Do you like/hate writing? Is there a writing skill you excel at or want to learn more about? Think about your own writing process and then write about what you do when given a writing task from start to finish. Discuss the four steps in the writing process: pre-writing, drafting, revising, and editing. For example, do you use any prewriting techniques? Do you just start writing? Do you procrastinate? Do you work in a certain environment (i.e., quiet room, music in the background, etc.)? Include any information you feel would be helpful to me as I facilitate this course. Remember that I am the only one reading your journals.
The emphasis is on the completeness of your content (not grammar and sentence skills), but proofread your writing carefully. As such, the journal entries will be graded as Complete/Incomplete. Provide unified, well-supported, and coherent paragraphs to address the given prompts. Although there is no word limit, be sure to write at least two well-developed paragraphs and continue to write until you are done.
