Revise My 3 Summaries

Here are some suggestions for submitting your revised summaries this week

: ~Review the “Active Reading Strategies” handout from last week on how to write an effective summary. You should be starting each one with the author, title, source, and overall thesis.

~Incorporate templates from your textbook and underline them.

~Use transition words to connect sentences within each summary (examples: First, next, because of that, moreover, finally, etc.) in order to avoid “list summaries.”
