5 paragraph essay

This assignment requires you to prepare a formal essay, of 5 paragraphs. The essay must be submitted in APA format, in 12 point Times New Roman font, with one-inch margins all around. The citations must be in APA Format.

Select one of the topics listed below and write an essay based on the prompt explaining how the topic is controversial in the context of child maltreatment. You must use at least three sources to support your position. After selecting a topic, you will submit an annotated reference page, followed by an outline using the format provided. If you are not certain about the annotated reference page there are many resources available to help you understand the way to prepare the reference page with annotations.

The essay must contain 5 paragraphs. The first paragraph should introduce the topic. It should explain specifically what you will write about, and identify the points you will use to support the position you take on the topic. The second, third and fourth paragraphs should support and discuss the points made in the introductory paragraph. The last paragraph, or conclusion, should sum up the subject of the essay, and should not introduce new material.
